‘We can’t go on like this’ – Hansi Flick’s dressing room rant after Barcelona draw revealed
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick made it clear he was unhappy with his team after Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Celta, admitting his team “played a very bad game.”
Flick also didn’t mince this words to his players in the dressing room afterwards, according to multiple reports, as he blasted his team for their performance.
Diario AS are reporting that Flick has particularly unhappy with his team’s lack of intensity and effort as well as the amount of errors made.
“We can’t go on like this! It’s not just for five or ten minutes, it’s been the whole game. We can’t go out and give just 80%. It’s unacceptable. What I saw can’t be true. But rest assured that it won’t happen again, whatever the cost,” it’s reported he said.
“You can’t make so many mistakes, you can’t make so many bad decisions, you can’t make so many errors… We all know what we’ve failed at and what we haven’t done well.
“I can allow ourselves to lose because these things happen, even to draw, but not in this way. I will not tolerate any more mistakes of this kind. If we have to train twice as hard, we will. But rest assured that we will play as a team again. If we have been able to do it for three months, we will do it again.”
Barcelona have now gone two games without a win and take on Brest in the Champion League next, with Flick determined to get his team back on track quickly.
