‘We’re happy’ – Real Betis offer update on Vitor Roque talks with Barcelona
Real Betis seem to be optimistic about landing Vitor Roque after jetting into Barcelona for talks about a move for the Brazilian star.
The Brazilian is expected to leave this summer, with Betis and Portuguese side Sporting battling for his signature.
Betis are said to want Vitor Roque on loan, which may not suit Barca, but the club’s representatives seemed positive when asked.
Joaquin was quizzed about the talks and said “they have gone well” and added “we are happy. I can’t say anything else,” when asked by Mundo Deportivo.
Manuel Pellegrini is also thought to be keen to have Vitor Roque in his side for the 2024-25 La Liga campaign.
It’s thought Sporting are willing to offer a fee for Vitor Roque, but the striker is said to prefer the idea of joining Betis.
A decision is expected to be made shortly with Barcelona keen to offload players quickly for financial reasons.
