Xavi Simons to tell PSG he wants Barcelona loan move

Xavi Simons is reportedly set to tell Paris Saint-Germain he wants to leave the club on loan and join Barcelona in the summer.

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Simons has made his mind up and will push for a Camp Nou return ahead of the new season.

Speculation about Simons’ future has grown in recent weeks, with the youngster said to have a clause in his contract which allows him to choose which club he moves to if he goes out on loan again.

The midfielder has spent the season on loan with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig but is set to return to PSG for talks about his future.

PSG boss Luis Enrique was asked about Simons at the weekend but didn’t want to talk about the youngster

“My rule is not to talk about players who are not at the club right now. He is out, he is a loan player,” he told reporters.

Barcelona are reportedly keen to bring in Simons for a season-long loan, but it’s not known yet what PSG think of the plan.
