In shock news, Spanish sensation Lamine Yamal’s father was reportedly involved in an alleged stabbing incident in Barcelona.
The FC Barcelona teenager recently captivated the football world with his superb displays at the 2024 UEFA European Championship for Spain, who walked away as the competition winners while the 17-year-old claimed the Best Young Player of the Tournament award.

However, little more than a month after the winger got his hands on the EURO 2024 trophy, it is now reported that his father was stabbed in Barcelona on Wednesday.
According to The Guardian, Yamal’s dad, Mounir Nasraoui, was stabbed at a parking lot in an alleged revenge attack following an altercation that took place earlier that day.
It is said the 35-year-old was stabbed multiple times, and had to be taken to the Can Ruti Hospital near the area.
Local authorities are reportedly gathering witnesses of the incident as they attempt to piece together the events that unfolded.
Spanish outlet Relevo further reports that Nasraoui has since been discharged from the hospital, and that his life is not in any danger.
The event has reportedly caused panic around those close to the winger ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season, with Barca set to open their LALIGA campaign with a trip away to Valencia on Saturday.

Last season, Yamal starred in 50 matches in all competitions for Barca, contributing with seven goals and nine assists for the Catalan giants.
