Barcelona star striker not ready to leave this summer, is building a mansion in the city

One of Barcelona’s biggest problems this season has been the inefficiency in front of goal. Star forward Robert Lewandowski has been underperforming severely, while others, such as Ferran Torres, Joao Felix, and Raphinha, have not been finishing too well, either.

The team, according to leading statisticians, have missed the most number of big chances across the top five leagues. It is also well reflected in their leagues standing, sitting third, six points off second-place Girona and eight behind first-place Real Madrid.

Amidst all of this, Xavi has been courageous, taking off Lewandowski during games to bring in Marc Guiu, Vitor Roque, and Ferran Torres to play as the striker. The trio have done largely well, too, which has put the Polish forward’s future into question.

However, according to reports from Javi Miguel, Lewandowski is not even considering leaving. He will stay at Barcelona, and try to fulfill the entirety of his contract, that lasts him until 2026.

He has expressed time and again how much him and his wife love the city of Barcelona, and want to spend the rest of their lives here.

The report states that Lewandowski has funded a new mansion in Garraf, a town between the borders of Castelldefels and Sitges. This new house is expected to be ready by the summer, after which him and his family plan to leave their current residence.

The Lewandowski family is currently staying at Marc Bartra’s residence on rent, but have been between this place and the other property owned by the former Bayern Munich man in Mallorca, valued at €3.5 million.

It is becoming increasingly clear that Lewandowski is not worried about his stature in the Barcelona team. He is ready to compete with the young guns that have been brought in, and wants to stay in the Catalan capital for as long as possible right now.

Further, Lewandowski will be even more concrete in his decision should the club bring in Hansi Flick as their new manager.

The German is reportedly interested in coaching Barcelona. He had a special bond with Lewandowski at Munich, too, and could look to replicate it in Spain, should they reunite at the end of this season.
