PSG prepare €80 million mega bid for Barcelona winger target

According to a report sourced from Fichajes, Paris Saint-Germain are currently making significant moves in the transfer market, with their focus squarely set on securing the services of Napoli’s talented winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Interestingly, Barcelona are also eyeing the Georgian player, indicating his rising prominence in the football world.

It is understood that PSG manager, Luis Enrique, views Kvaratskhelia as the linchpin in fortifying the team’s offensive capabilities, especially with the impending departure of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid.

It is to be noted that despite the turbulence within the Italian club, Kvaratskhelia has consistently delivered outstanding performances.

Moreover, his relatively modest salary of €1 million net per season makes him an enticing prospect for clubs like PSG.

PSG preparing a bid for the winger

The aforementioned report suggests that PSG are prepared to make a substantial offer of at least €80 million to acquire Kvaratskhelia, envisioning him as the ideal successor to Mbappe in the long term.

Alongside the hefty transfer fee, the French giants are poised to present the Georgian winger with an enticing contract, significantly surpassing his current earnings at Napoli.

While negotiations between PSG and Kvaratskhelia’s representatives are underway, Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, remains firm in his stance, insisting on a transfer fee of no less than €100 million for the 23-year-old

This valuation poses a significant hurdle not just for PSG but also for Barcelona, yet they appear resolute in their determination to secure the talented winger’s services.

What now for Barcelona?

Given that Barcelona are poised to lose out on securing the services of Kvaratskhelia, the squad hailing from Catalonia has opted to pursue Nico Williams instead.

According to previous reports, Barcelona anticipates that acquiring Williams will require a €50 million investment. Despite their current financial challenges, they perceive this sum as justified given the player’s considerable talent.

Presently, Barcelona are engaged in discussions with the representatives of the player, and if negotiations proceed smoothly, the team will welcome a fresh winger into their fold for the upcoming season.
