200 Champions League wins

The 2-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk this Wednesday was win number 200 for FC Barcelona in the premier continental competition (both as the Champions League and in its previous guise as the European Cup). It has taken 341 games to get there, with Barça scoring 675 goals and conceding 344.

First ever title

Barça first won the competition in 1991/92, the last time it went by its old name, when Ronald Koeman rocketed in his famous free kick against Sampdoria at Wembley. It was only the fifth time that Barça had played in the competition, those participations producing a total of 26 wins.

Unbeaten campaign

Frank Rijkaard led Barça to the first win of the Champions era 2005/06, with the unforgettable of Juliano Belletti’s tears after netting the winner in the final against Arsenal. This was the only time that Barça have ever completed a European campaign without a single defeat, with nine wins and four draws.

Chasing a sixth

Hopefully Barça can now go on to build on their 200 wins and also win a sixth European crown. The Catalans haven’t won the UCL since 2014/15, with Luis Enrique on the bench and the trident of Messi, Suárez and Neymar on the field.

Total wins in Europe

When counting all the different European competitions that FC Barcelona has played in over the years, the team has won 340 games in 606 attempts, scoring 1,199 goals and conceding 626.
