Barcelona keen to take up purchase option on Pau Victor


Barcelona are reportedly keen to take up the purchase option in Pau Victor’s contract and sign him permanently from Girona.

Victor moved to the club on loan in the summer and joined up with Rafa Marquez’s Barcelona Atletic side.

The youngster has impressed with the reserve team so far this season and has even been called up to the first team by Xavi during the current campaign.

In total Victor has scored 11 goals in 16 games for Barcelona Atletic and has proven to be an excellent signing.

Diario Sport reckon that Barca are so pleased with his progress they are already determined to pay the 3 million euros needed to make his transfer permanent.

The Catalans will then either look to incorporate Victor into the first-team squad for next season or potentially cash in on him during the summer transfer window.

Victor will face a battle for first-team minutes with the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Vitor Roque around as well as Marc Guiu who looks to have a bright future at the club.
