Barcelona managerial target’s agent spotted with Joan Laporta during Getafe clash

Barcelona secured a statement 4-0 victory over Getafe earlier today at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Montjuic, which sent them to second place in the La Liga table.

Raphinha, Joao Felix, Frenkie de Jong, and Fermin Lopez were all on target for the Catalans as they secured three important points in the context of the title race.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta appeared to be in a happy mood on his way out after the game, thanks to the performance and the victory.

Laporta met with Pini Zahavi

Although there may have been more to the Barcelona president’s happiness today, as he was seen with a certain Pini Zahavi today at the Montjuic Stadium.

Indeed, as per Victor Navarro, Laporta was seen with Zahavi, who happens to be the agent of Robert Lewandowski as well as Barcelona’s managerial target, Hansi Flick, in the VIP box at the stadium during the game against Getafe.

It is no secret that Zahavi shares a close relationship with Laporta and played an important role in the arrival of Lewandowski.

Not very long ago, Flick, who is one of the candidates Barcelona are looking at to succeed Xavi at the end of the season, appointed Zahavi as his representative as well.

While there is no information about whether the German tactician’s name was discussed, Zahavi was seen with Laporta at the stadium, which is bound to fuel speculations.

Flick is currently unattached, after having been sacked by the German national team in September last year.

The 58-year-old is regarded highly at Barcelona for what he achieved at Bayern Munich, while his good relationship with the likes of Lewandowski and Ilkay Gundogan is also valued.

With Zahavi’s good relationship with Laporta, there is no ruling out the possibility of Flick taking over the reins at Barcelona come summer.
