Manchester United Wants To Borrow A Striker Who Has Only Joined Barcelona For Four Months
JAKARTA – Manchester United took a sensational step when they planned to borrow Barcelona striker Vitor Roque. The player, who has only played at Barca for four months, is frustrated even though he doesn’t want to leave the Spanish La Liga club.
Roque officially joined the January 2024 transfer after Barca poured 40 million euros into Athletico Paranaense.
Only the 19-year-old striker has to compete with Robert Lewandowski, the veteran who is the mainstay of Barca’s front line.
As expected Roque will find it difficult to get rid of Lewandowski, who is clearly still on fire. In the aftermath, this young Brazilian striker is more frequent on the bench. Moreover, coach Xavi Hernandez has not fully relied on Roque.
Even if Lewandowsk is absent, Xavi chooses another option rather than lowering Roque. This is what makes the player frustrated with the coach.
During the four months since joining, Roque has only played 13 times and scored two goals. He, in total, played for 310 minutes.

If it is difficult to get a place in Barca’s first team, Roque is considering leaving. Moreover, he may not be registered with Barca in the squad competing in the Champions League next season.
This makes it even more difficult for the striker whose style of play is mentioned as the combination of Sergio Aguero and Luis Suarez to shine in Europe.
Although previously supported Roque, Xavi implied that he did not mind lending his players to other clubs. But he said that Roque’s fate would only be known after the end of the season.
“We haven’t decided yet. We will only decide at the end of the competition season. This is the best for anyone,” said Xavi.
“It must be admitted that it is not easy for a player who has just arrived from Brazil. He needs time and adaptation. At the end of the season, we just made a decision for him,” he said again.
If he is still another player, Roque is determined to die Barca. Manchester United can be in his next destination. Moreover, MU is in need of a forward.
MU itself has gone further by contacting Roque’s agent. However, MU started it by borrowing Roque.
