A day of acknowledgement. After completing the morning training session at the Ciutat Esportiva, João Félix was presented with the LaLiga trophy for best goal of the month in April as recognition for his overhead kick against Cádiz.
The goal came about from a Marcos Alonso corner in the 37th minute that deflected off a defender from the Andalusian side, with João Félix showing great anticipation to acrobatically guide the ball into the net.
What proved to be the winning goal in the matchday 31 fixture received more votes in the LaLiga website poll than Isi Palazón and Luis Rioja’s goals against Osasuna and Atlético Madrid respectively.
