Manchester City look set to compete with Barcelona to sign Bayern Munich‘s Joshua Kimmich.

After missing out on Declan Rice in the summer, Pep Guardiola looks keen to add another defensive midfielder to his ranks.

Barcelona have long been linked with Kimmich, however a move for him broke down due to the Catalan side’s money concerns.

They will also reportedly be eyeing another move for him and want to continue their interest in him.

But, according to Football Espana, now Pep Guardiola wants to reunite with the highly-rated German defensive midfielder.

As per The Athletic the reigning European champions will consider whether to move for Kimmich during the summer.

The 28-year-old’s contract with Bayern is set to run out in 2025, and both teams might be hoping to steal him on a free transfer.

After making 53 appearances for RB Leipzig, Kimmich signed for Munich in 2015 and has so far scored 26 times in 248 matches.

Another Bayern star who could potentially be on the move is Canadian left-back Alphonso Davies.

According to reports late last year, Real Madrid are more confident than ever that he will join the club next summer.

Having negotiated with Davies and his agent Nedal Househ, Los Blancos are now very confident the club will sign Davies at the end of the season, according to Spanish outlet.

It is believed the club and player are in ‘total harmony’ over the transfer, which is expected to include a fee in the region of £34million to £44m.
