Real Madrid Enquires About ‘Messinho’ Estevao Willian Transfer

Real Madrid has made enquiries about the availability of Palmeiras whizzkid and FC Barcelona target Estevao ‘Messinho’ Willian according to Goal Brasil, which cited anonymous sources.

Barca has been linked to the youngster known as ‘Little Messi’ for some time, and he told Mundo Deportivo last year that it would be a “dream” to emulate the Argentine by donning Blaugrana.

As always, though, Barca seems to be priced out of an approach for the prodigy, who has now established himself in Abel Ferreira’s first team alongside a Real Madrid-bound Endrick.

He might not even be required in Catalonia either, considering that Estevao shares the same right wing position as La Masia pearl Lamine Yamal.

While Ferreira has publicly revealed he wants Estevao to stay, though, with the forward offering the Portuguese “something I’ve never seen before”, he still continues to attract the interest of a string of top European clubs.

Barca has been named in a list of them by Goal Brasil, which says that Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Chelsea have also made enquiries to his Sao Paulo employers as per Estevao’s availability.

The same outlet says that Real Madrid forms part of the group of elite European potential suitors, with the recently-crowned La Liga champions easily capable of meeting his price tag put at $59 million (€55 million) including taxes.

In the Spanish capital, however, AS reports that president Florentino Perez isn’t interested in Estevao.

This is because in a summer where Endrick will cross the Atlantic while Kylian Mbappe is also expected to land at the Bernabeu, Perez will instead prioritize the potential transfer of River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono if he is to secure a South American star of tomorrow in the near future.

The midfielder has a release clause of $48.5 million (€45 million), and – different to Estevao – he can already join Madrid aged 16 while not having to wait until he becomes of adult age because of Italian heritage.

It’s likely that Mastantuono stays at River for a little while even if Madrid already seals his services, though, and also more probable that a team from the Premier

League, PSG, or Bayern buys Estevao from Palmeiras when all is said and done.
