Report: Dani Rodriguez’s agent seen in Barcelona meeting amid Spurs rumours – The Spurs Web

Mundo Deportivo have spotted the agent of rumoured Tottenham target Dani Rodriguez emerging from a meeting with Barcelona president Joan Laporta amidst reports that the Catalan club want to offer the youngster a new deal.

Although Rodriguez is yet to break into Barca’s first team, the La Masia graduate has been delivering eye-catching displays at the youth level, with a number of sides, including Spurs, said to be following the 18-year-old’s progress.

With the left-winger’s current deal running out in the summer, Sport revealed last week that the La Liga giants ‘fear’ they will lose the talented youngster, particularly with Tottenham keen to bring him to the Premier League.

The outlet explained that Barca wish to hold on to their academy graduate and had not given up hope of tying him to a new deal.

Meeting between agent and Laporta

Mundo Deportivo have now revealed that Pini Zahavi, who represents Rodriguez, was pictured meeting with Laporta this week.

The outlet provides no details or updates on whether there were any discussions held over the 18-year-old’s future, instead suggesting that the meeting could have also had to do with finalising Xavi’s successor, with Zahavi also representing former Bayern Munich and Germany boss Hansi Flick.
