Superagent hoping to close the representation of another Barcelona star

Jorge Mendes’ excellent relationship with Barcelona president Joan Laporta is well-documented.

The Portuguese super-agent has worked closely with Barcelona to help the club secure many of the recent deals, including the loans of Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix.

But as Mendes’ continues to build a solid relationship with Barcelona, he has also started to expand his reach within the Catalan club.

At the moment, Mendes serves as the representative of multiple Barcelona stars, including Lamine Yamal, Alejandro Balde, Ansu Fati and Joao Cancelo, along with Joao Felix.

Mendes is reportedly close to sealing the services of yet another Barcelona starlet in the form of Hector Fort. The young right-back is expected to announce Mendes as his new representative in the near future.

Pau Prim: Jorge Mendes’ next target

Jorge Mendes, though, is unlikely to stop at Hector Fort. The Portuguese super-agent is now targeting another Barcelona starlet in Pau Prim.

That is according to Diario SPORT, which suggests that Mendes is betting heavily on the future of some of the young Barcelona players.

Fort, for one, has shown immense potential in his early days, whereas Pau Prim is also considered one of the best talents at La Masia.

Aware of his potential, Jorge Mendes wants to close the representation of the defensive midfielder, who currently plies his trade for Barça U19s.

Mendes’ gaining influence within the Barcelona setup could be concerning given the fact that it would hand him the power to dictate the future of multiple stars.

At the same time, the Gestifute founder is also a key in helping Barcelona unlock many possibilities, at least as far as the transfer market is concerned.

Finding the right balance, therefore, could be key if Barcelona are to reap the rewards of their relationship with Jorge Mendes going forward.
