The squad for Valencia v Barça

Time for FC Barcelona to put the last two defeats against Girona and Royal Antwerp behind them and the first opportunity to do so comes with an away trip to the Mestalla stadium to face hosts Valencia.

The game kicks off at 9pm CET on Saturday and it will be the blaugranes’  penultimate competitive match of 2023, before the home match against Almeria. The Club will then travel to Dallas to play a friendly against Club América from Mexico.

Xavi Hernández has picked a 23 player squad for the Valencia game, namely João Cancelo, Balde, R. Araujo, Ferran, Pedri, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Iñaki Peña, João Félix, Christensen, Romeu, S. Roberto, F. De Jong, Gündoğan, Kounde, Astralaga, Lamine Yamal, M. Casadó, Kochen, Fermín, Cubarsí, Marc Guiu and H. Fort.

Before naming the squad, Xavi and the coaching staff ran a training session with all available first team players, with Astralaga, Kochen, M. Casadó, A. Alarcón, Aleix Garrido, H. Fort, Cubarsí and Marc Guiu from Barça Atlètic also joining in.
