Ange Postecoglou wants to hijack Barcelona deal
According to a report from The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the situation of Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams, who has a £42.8m release clause in his current contract. Needless to say, Barcelona are also interested in Nico Williams, as they would like to keep the talented forward in La Liga, weakening a league rival in the process.
Indeed, Spanish outlet Sport state that Nico Williams could stay with his current club for another year, before being signed by Barcelona in 2025.
It will be interesting to see how Tottenham compete with Barcelona in the transfer window. A quick turnaround would benefit Spurs, who are in a better financial position.
Antonio Conte tempted by Napoli offer
Former Spurs boss Antonio Conte remains without a club. However, he could be on his way back to the Serie A, as an offer from Napoli is tempting him. According to CN24, Napoli have offered Antonio Conte a very attractive proposition whereby he would have complete control over transfers, an offer which is unlike most others. Therefore, he is seriously considering it.
It wasn’t to be for Conte at Spurs but he is clearly a world-class coach who has the ability to achieve great things. It would be nice to see him in management again.

According to Philipp Hinze, Tottenham and Newcastle United transfer target Mohamed Simakan has a €70m relase clause in his current contract. This release clause becomes active in the summer transfer window and he is keen for a move to the Premier League.
Needless to say, Tottenham need more quality in their side as they head into the new season. They could be competing in the Champions League, so they will take as much depth and quality in their side as possible.
