Barcelona defender’s house was robbed for the second time this season during 3-5 loss vs Villarreal

This has proven to be quite a difficult week, not just for Barcelona supporters but also for the players.

The club bowed out of Copa Del Rey following a defeat to Athletic Club, which was followed by a loss to Villarreal. This set of results convinced Xavi to announce his departure at the end of the season.

If this wasn’t all, this week had more in store for Barcelona defender Jules Kounde, for whom, Xavi’s influence was key in convincing him to join Barça.

Kounde’s house robbed during Villarreal game

According to RAC1 (h/t Diario SPORT), Jules Kounde’s house was robbed during Barcelona’s game against Villarreal.

Kounde was part of the Barcelona XI that lost to Villarreal 5-3 on Saturday. While he was playing, assailants entered his home in Sitges at half past nine at night.

The defender had already finished the match at that time, as the Villarreal game had begun at around 6:30 in the evening.

Not the first time

This was not the first time Kounde’s house had been robbed in Spain. The first time a similar incident took place was back in April 2023.

Back then, Kounde was playing a game against Real Betis when assailants entered his home and stole multiple belongings.

As per the report, Saturday’s incident was a forced robbery. Agents are awaiting further details of the exact items that were stolen.

We can expect more details to be released in the coming days.
