After the deal with FIFA ended, EA introduced new features to refresh the game’s formula, such as Evolutions. This is a game-changer for player progression, as it transforms how you enhance your Ultimate Team cards in EA FC 24. Here’s our picks for the best players for EA FC 24 Evolutions.

The Evolutions system is EA Sports FC 24‘s answer to keeping older Ultimate Team cards competitive amidst the ever-shifting game meta.

EA FC 24 Evolutions are a brand-new feature in the game that allows players to upgrade their card attributes such as passing, defending, and shooting, by completing specific objectives or using UT Coins and FC Points to purchase them. However, evolutions are only available for a limited amount of time in the game, so you’ll want to aim to evolve the best players.

With that in mind, here are the best players for each evolution in EA FC 24.

Best players for EA FC 24 Evolutions

It’s important to note that not every player in Ultimate Team is eligible for upgrades. All EA FC 24 Evolutions must check a certain list of requirements. If you need the requirements for all active Evolutions, make sure to check out our full guide.

For this guide, we will only use either base items or IF cards.

With that out of the way, let’s jump right into the best players for the active EA FC 24 Evolutions.

Golden Glow Up

• Cost: 100,000 Coins/500 Points
• Best players: Mickael Malsa, Lilian Brassier, Tom Ince

Only Silver cards are eligible for this one. In reality, this is a hard pass.

Down the Right Side

• Cost: 100,000 Coins/500 Points
• Best players: Winter Wildcards Denzel Dumfries, 84 OVR TOTW Jonathan Clauss, Achraf Hakimi, Sean Walker, Jeremie Frimpong

Generous Goalscorer

• Cost: Free
• Best players: Kolo Muani, Lynn Williams, Gabriel Jesus

FC Founder II

• Cost: Free
• Best players: Kolo Muani, Timo Werner, Rafa, Donyell Malen, Leon Bailey

FUT Academy Attackers

• Cost: Free
• Best players: Athenea, Melvine Menard, Brian Brobbey, Noah Okafor

We should note that players from the Future Stars Attackers pack are only eligible for this Evolution. Go to the store and ‘My Packs’ to claim the free pack.

From there, just follow the steps needed to complete the Evolution. This essentially replaces the FUT Academy Objectives from previous years.

FUT Academy Midfielders

• Cost: Free
• Best players: Thiago Almada, Yacine Adli, Sem Steijn

FUT Academy Defenders

• Cost: Free
• Best players: Lorenz Assignon, Fabiano Parisi, Lutsharel Geertruida

Much like with the Future Stars Academy Attackers, go to ‘My Packs’ to claim eligible cards for this Evolution.

Out of all the eligible EA FC 24 FUT Academy Defenders Evolutions, Assingon just might be the best. Aside from his French link, Assingon’s fully-evolved Evolution as 93 PAC and 90 DRI.
