Liverpool considering Barcelona duo as potential replacements for Mo Salah in the summer – report

Barcelona are not the only club in Europe bracing itself for a summer of change this year. The same can be said for Liverpool, who are also losing their head coach Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season.

Many expect Mohamed Salah to also leave Anfield, with the Egyptian looking likely to move to Saudi Arabia.

Salah’s potential departure will, no doubt, force Liverpool to desperately seek for replacements in the market.

To that end, Spanish news outlet SPORT have relayed that Liverpool might look no further beyond Barcelona, in search of a replacement for Mo Salah.

It appears the Premier League giants have identified Raphinha and Ansu Fati as two potential players who can replace Salah at Anfield.

This is a major development, considering the fact that Barcelona desperately require a big-money sale in the summer, in order to attract new signings.

Ronald Araujo has been widely touted as one of the players in contention to leave the club in the summer, with Bayern Munich still keen on his services.

But it appears even Raphinha and Fati could be options. The former has an excellent market in England, with Tottenham also keen on his services. The Lilywhites have even reportedly put out €70 million for the Brazilian international.

As for Fati, the Spaniard boasts immense potential but frequent injuries have certainly slowed his growth. He has struggled with injuries even at his current loan spell at Brighton this season.

Liverpool, though, believe they can unleash Fati’s potential and make him an ideal replacement for Salah.

Barcelona, for their part, will not be averse to getting rid of Fati permanently and use the revenue to court new players in the market. The same can be said for Raphinha as well. But only time will tell what the future holds for these two Barça attackers.
