Pedri passed fit by Barcelona ahead of Spanish Super Cup clash
Barcelona midfielder Pedri has been passed fit ahead of tonight’s Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Osasuna.
The midfielder has recovered from a muscle injury that has has kept him sidelined since mid-December and is now available for selection once again.
However, Xavi has opted against starting Pedri against Osasuna. The midfielder has had to make do with a place on the bench for Thursday’s game.
Xavi has instead opted for Ilkay Gundogan, Sergi Roberto and Frenkie de Jong as his midfielders for the clash.
Elsewhere, there’s still no Joao Cancelo for Barcelona. The Portugal international is in the squad for the Super Cup but still hasn’t received the green light to return.
Barcelona and Osasuna face off knowing that a meeting with Real Madrid awaits the winners of the game on Sunday.
