Chelsea are back in action on Monday evening when they host London rivals Crystal Palace.

The Blues have endured a difficult season so far, but produced an impressive display to beat Aston Villa in an FA Cup fourth round replay on Wednesday evening.

Midfielder Enzo Fernandez scored the pick of the goals in the 3-0 win, guiding a 30-yard free-kick beyond Argentina teammate Emi Martinez and into the top corner.

Fernandez appeared to hit back at recent rumours linking him with a move away during his celebration, pointing at the ground in a gesture that appeared to suggest he was here to stay.

Now, though, it has emerged that the Argentine has his eyes on a move to Spain.

As per Spanish outlet Sport, the midfielder has offered himself to La Liga giants Barcelona.

Fernandez, 23, became the most expensive signing in Chelsea history when he joined from Benfica just over a year ago, for a fee of around £110 million.

The Argentina international initially impressed, but endured a difficult few months at the start of the current campaign as Mauricio Pochettino’s side struggled.

In total, he has made 51 appearances for the Blues – including 38 in the Premier League – scoring six goals and providing three assists.

The report claims that the midfielder is seduced by the idea of playing for Barcelona, despite joining Chelsea just over a year ago.

Despite Barcelona’s reported interest and the fact that Fernandez is seemingly keen on a move to Spain, the report claims that the biggest obstacle in the way of a deal is the fact that the player is contracted to Chelsea until 2032.
